About the villa

The pool is the centre of the garden: a long rectangle lined with sun loungers and straw parasols, reflecting the date palms and bougainvillea in front of the facade. Around it, a wide lawn planted with palms and olive trees runs to the villa terraces, with terracotta steps linking the different levels. A covered terrace holds a long dining table under lantern pendants, and a shaded patio under a wooden pergola has a daybed and a mosaic table.

Inside, the entrance hall sits under a brick dome with a brass chandelier. A lounge under a vaulted brick ceiling, two wood-panelled salons with a fireplace and long banquettes, and a bright bar lounge with a marble counter and leather stools give the house several places to gather. An arcaded inner courtyard with a stone fountain and banana plants brings light into the middle of the building.

The nine bedrooms are furnished with suede and tufted headboards, Berber rugs, brass tables and lantern wall lights, and many open directly onto a terrace or the garden. The bathrooms are finished in tadelakt, with bathtubs set in arched alcoves and double vanities. Nine bedrooms, three places to sit indoors and a bar opening onto the terrace: Tanirt is sized for a group that wants to spread out without splitting up.
